Getting started
First steps for organizers and players.
-
How fast can I get my first session up?
Most organizers print their first schedule in under 5 minutes — add your players, pick a format, click generate, and you're done. The five-step walkthrough lives at /how-it-works.
-
Do I need to download an app?
No. The Court Scheduler runs in any modern browser on phone, tablet, or desktop. Players just tap the invite link from their organizer — there's no app-store install required for either side.
-
I'm a player — how do I join a group?
Players join by invite from an organizer. If your group already uses the Court Scheduler, ask the person who runs the schedule to send you an invite from inside the app. If your group isn't on the app yet, see /for-players for a one-page explainer you can forward to your organizer.
Sessions & scheduling
How the rotation, courts, and editing work.
-
How does the rotation algorithm pick partners?
The fair-rotation algorithm minimizes repeat partnerships across the session — players who've already played together get pushed to later rounds. You can also set hard avoid-partner constraints for individual players, and the algorithm honors them. Step 4 of /how-it-works walks through the controls.
-
Can I edit a schedule after I generate it?
Yes. After clicking generate, you can swap players, lock specific matchups, or adjust round-by-round before printing or sharing. The edit step is non-destructive — you can re-generate as many times as you like before printing.
-
What's the difference between rotating doubles, fixed doubles, and mixed doubles?
Rotating doubles re-pairs players each round to maximize variety (the default for casual rec groups). Fixed doubles keeps the same pairs across the session for league-style play. Mixed-doubles modes (strict and relaxed) are an Organizer Premium feature designed for clubs that run mixed-format events.
Plans & billing
Free vs Premium, caps, refunds, and cancellation.
-
Is the free plan really free — no catch?
Yes. Both Organizer Free and Player Free stay free forever with no card required. Organizers can run weekly scheduling for up to 24 players and 4 courts; players get the full RSVP, chat, and email-reminder experience. Premium tiers add advanced extras on top — they're never required to run your group. Full breakdown at /pricing.
-
What happens when I hit the 24-player or 4-court cap?
Your existing roster, sessions, and history all stay intact — nothing is deleted, nothing breaks. New additions above the cap are blocked until you upgrade to Organizer Premium, which lifts both caps instantly. Existing rosters above the cap are grandfathered if you upgrade and later cancel.
-
Do you offer refunds?
Yes. If you're unhappy with either Organizer Premium or Player Premium for any reason within 30 days of your first paid charge, email hello@pickleballcourtscheduler.com and we'll refund the full amount. No quiz, no upsell. Full policy at /trust/refunds.
-
How do I cancel a Premium subscription?
Cancel either Premium subscription from your billing page in two clicks. Your account reverts to the matching free tier (Organizer Premium → Organizer Free, Player Premium → Player Free) and you keep all your data. We email a reminder seven days before each renewal, so there are no surprises.
Privacy & data
What we collect, where it lives, how to export or delete.
-
What data do you collect about me?
Only what's needed to run the schedule: your name, email, profile preferences (skill level, position), and the sessions and RSVPs you participate in. Organizers see the roster data for their own group; we don't share your information with third parties for advertising. Full policy at /privacy.
-
Do you sell my data or run advertising?
No. The Court Scheduler runs no advertising on the product, and the business is funded entirely by Premium subscriptions. The full data-handling commitments are at /privacy.
-
Can I export or delete my data?
Organizer Premium includes CSV export of your group's data from inside the app. To request export or deletion of your personal account data, email hello@pickleballcourtscheduler.com — we handle these on request, with no quiz.
-
Where is payment information stored?
Card numbers never touch our servers. Stripe handles all payment processing — they're PCI-DSS Level 1 certified, the highest tier of payment security in the industry. We store only the brand and last-four digits of your card so receipts are meaningful. Full security details at /trust/payments.
