Minimized repeat partnerships
The algorithm varies who plays with whom each round. With 8 players on 2 courts you can usually go 6+ rounds before any pair repeats.

Even bye distribution
When the player count isn't a clean multiple of 4, we tell you up front and offer to add a round so everyone ends with the same number of games. Nobody sits out twice in a row.

Avoid-partner constraints
Mark up to three players a person should not be paired with. The scheduler treats it as a soft hint — followed when possible, broken only when the math forces it.

Round caps for early leavers
Tell the system "Sue can only play 4 rounds" and her rest rounds get distributed toward the end of the session — without breaking anyone else's rotation.

Mixed doubles gender rules
Strict mode enforces 1 male + 1 female per team. Relaxed mode allows exceptions when the math doesn't work and clearly flags them on the printed sheet.
